Matlab Engine Support Files (mtngpkg)

This document describes the support files (mtngpkg) for the Matlab Engine NMI Component (libmtng). Libmtng allows the matlab engine and run-time specified suites of matlab routines to be run as NMI components. Libmtng is derived from and conforms to the Network Model Interface. This edition documents version 1.0.

This document describes the support files (mtngpkg) for the Matlab Engine NMI Component (libmtng). Libmtng allows the matlab engine and run-time specified suites of matlab routines to be run as NMI components. It is derived from and conforms to the Network Model Interface.

2.1 Obtaining

mtngpkg may be downloaded from http://www.altjira.com/distrib/mtngpkg. The latest version of this documentation may be found at http://www.altjira.com/support/mtngpkg/mtngpkg.html.

For information on companion software, frameworks, components and related documentation refer to the libmtng documentation, the Network Model Interface documentation, and the NMI Simulation Resources documentation.

This documentation is also installed to ${prefix}/doc/mtngpkg, where `${prefix}' is the installation directory specified during the build configuration.

The following software is suggested. Other versions may work but have not been tested.

Package maintenance requires:

• autoconf 2.54
• automake 1.7

There are no library support files.

4.2 Tutorial

The tutorial consists of one simulation for the TENNS framework:

• pong: uses the libpong and pongpkg packages to set up a ping-pong game with one interactive player and one matlab player. The tutorial includes the body of matlab code to implement a simple ping-pong player that at each time step sets the racquet lateral position to match the ball lateral position.

Using the TENNS framework, try the following commands at the terminal prompt:

cd pong tenns pint-mtng.cnf -
